After years of repression, The Cookie Monster’s untreated PTSD stemming from this incident finally sent him over the edge. All the neighborhood bakeries were vandalized and all the cookies burned. On the wall, a message saying “NO ONE HAVE COOKIES ANYMORE” was written in batter and punctuated by a chocolate chip. The police were unable to apprehend him before he took his own life, choking to death on an unopened tube of Pillsbury Chocolate Chip Cookies.
